“There’s one minor thing left to do,” Simon said, “before we can say we’re done with this application. Remember, when we open our application, we see the ‘Hello from Mu!’ web page. I think it’s time to replace that with our own home page.”

“Of course!” Emily said. “We’ve already chosen our colors, and we found a good picture! I think we should just put the header ‘Welcome to E&E Coffee Shop!’ and add the picture we used on the order page.”

“Yes, good idea,” Simon said. “But don’t forget the main purpose of the home page.”

“What is the main purpose?” Erik asked.

“On any website or web application, you use your home page for navigation,” Simon answered. “When people open your site, they should be able to quickly figure out what it does and how to use it. Take a look at your favorite coffee shop sites and tell me what you find there. Look for what they all have in common.”

Emily and Erik searched for familiar companies and opened their websites in several tabs. After exploring them for some time, Erik said, “They all have a page called Menu. They have a Locations page or a Find a Store, where they show where to find their shops.”
