The figure on the cover of Build AI-Enhanced Web Apps is “La Fioraia,” or “The Florist.” The illustration is taken from an Italian compendium of regional dress costumes first published in Naples in 1853, engraved by Francesco de Bourcard.
In those days, it was easy to identify where people lived and what their trade or station in life was just by their dress.
