Thank you for purchasing the MEAP for Build Financial Software with Generative AI. With this book we hope to provide you with a meaningful project based on the critical need of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing found at financial institutions across the United States. While the project itself is centered around FinTech, the tools, techniques, and technology that we use are appropriate for all industries. The goal of this book was not to provide exhaustive coverage of any one area, but rather to provide you with a platform to explore various technologies. If you do not use a particular technology, you should be able to replace that component with something that aligns more with your interests.
Our approach to writing this book was to provide you with an interesting project and develop it in a way that you may find it done in a large company. Indeed, in our combined 50 years of experience developing financial software we have often used these tools and techniques when writing software. Technology is ever evolving, however there is a lot of legacy code and products out there that will exist for the foreseeable future. We tried to provide a mixture of technology and tools to provide a solid foundation for future developers and to fire the imaginations of existing FinTech developers.
