Hello there! Thanks for getting involved in the MEAP for Learn Docker in a Month of Lunches: Second Edition. I hope you find the book useful and I’ll be glad to hear any feedback you have. My name’s Elton and I’m a freelance consultant and trainer. I’ve been using Docker since the earliest releases and worked at Docker for three years. Since then I’ve helped organizations at every stage in their container journey. I’ve been fortunate to travel the world, speaking at conferences and running workshops on Docker, and I’m distilling many years of using and teaching Docker into this book.
The second edition of Learn Docker in a Month of Lunches has been updated for all the latest technologies - every code sample and try-it-now exercise has been refreshed and tested on Windows, Mac and Linux. More importantly all the chapters in part 3 are new: they replace topics from the first edition which are no longer relevant. Multi-platform builds, cloud container services, replatforming legacy Windows apps and Kubernetes are all in. Docker Swarm is out (it still exists but I don’t know of any companies using it now, everyone prefers Kubernetes).
