Part 2. Walking through a manual deployment

In the second part of the book, you’ll step through a manual deployment of several core OpenStack components. Although it’s important that you understand the underlying component interactions that make up OpenStack, this part of the book is not intended as a blueprint for OpenStack deployment. The OpenStack foundation does a good job of providing detailed documentation (http://docs.openstack.org/) for each software release. The goal of this part of the book is to build your confidence in the underlying system, through low-level exposure of the components and configurations. The intent here is to help you understand the underlying OpenStack architecture well enough to make informed decisions when designing a production deployment.
