Martin Štefanko has been working on Red Hat’s middleware portfolio for the last nine years. He started with WildFly and JBoss EAP application servers, where he got a lot of hands-on experience with many technologies and libraries that were included in these distributions (these libraries eventually came to be also included in Quarkus through WildFly Swarm and later Thorntail), to name a few, for instance, SmallRye, RESTEasy, or Narayana. Martin has been contributing to Quarkus since version 0.12.0. He is responsible for the SmallRye Health and LRA extensions but is also contributing to several other core extensions mostly around MicroProfile integration.

Jan Martiška has been a Red Hatter for over 10 years and spent most of this tenure working on open source, Java-based application platforms. Starting out working on JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (WildFly), he gained lots of exposure to various technologies in the Java (Jakarta) EE platform and the surrounding landscape. Jan furthered Quarkus’s observability capabilities by leading the MicroProfile Metrics specification and taking care of the relevant Quarkus extension. He is a major contributor to the GraphQL capabilities of Quarkus, and a contributor to the LangChain4j project and its integration into Quarkus.
