Part 4 Operating the database
The final part of the book focuses on operating ScyllaDB in production. You’ll begin by getting a solid grounding in ScyllaDB’s design and its goals in chapter 8—understanding the database is key to operating it. In chapter 9, you’ll apply this knowledge to configure a production cluster and perform safe operations against it. Chapter 10 walks you through building a REST API on top of Scylla API, demonstrating how applications use ScyllaDB via a driver. In chapter 11, you’ll see how to monitor ScyllaDB—detecting problems and learning how to resolve them. The book closes in chapter 12 by examining how to move data in bulk both into and out of your cluster.
