David Asboth is a “data generalist.” Currently, he works as a freelance data consultant and educator with an M.S. in Data Science, and has a background in software and web development in various industries. His previous roles include a range of data science, software development, and software architecting jobs, and his latest interest is figuring out what skills the analysts of the future actually need to succeed. Beyond having over a decade’s worth of technical experience in multiple industries, David cohosts the Half Stack Data Science podcast about data science in the real world, has spoken at multiple conferences, including the Data Science Festival in London, and has taught a variety of data science courses to enterprise students, including large banks and consultancies. David has taught hundreds of students introductory data science over the years and wanted to write a book about what he thinks students like those could benefit from after learning the basics.
