The GKE on AWS management service provisions and manages user clusters on AWS. Its deployment includes a bastion host used for administration and infrastructure generated through Terraform. section 5.2.2
Key operational elements include:
- A bastion host provides the access point for GKE on AWS management operations. section 5.2.2
- Terraform describes the target infrastructure and uses the AWS provider to instantiate load balancers and EC2 virtual machines. section 5.2.2
- Node pools support different machine sizes within a cluster. section 5.2.2
Initialize and access the service
Run `anthos-gke aws management init`, apply the configuration with `anthos-gke aws management apply`, then retrieve access using `anthos-gke aws management get-credentials`. The installation generates `bastion-tunnel.sh` for connecting to the bastion host. section 5.2.2
