Part 1. Preparing for training

This part of the book will set the stage for your JavaScript ninja training.

In chapter 1, you’ll learn what we’re trying to accomplish with this book, and we’ll lay the framework for the environment in which JavaScript authors operate.

Chapter 2 will teach you why testing is so important and give you a brief survey of some of the testing tools available. Then we’ll develop some surprisingly simple testing tools that you’ll use throughout the rest of your training.

When you’re finished with this part of the book, you’ll be ready to embark on your training as a JavaScript ninja!
