Practice patience by:
- Give learners room to explore solutions instead of taking over immediately. section 9.2.1
- Respond to mistakes with understanding, helping people analyze problems and identify possible solutions. section 9.2.1
- Try another explanation when a client does not understand, while using the contract to realign contractual expectations. section 8.5.4
- Stay composed during conflict by listening, validating feelings, taking short breaks, and redirecting attention to the main problem. section 11.4
Learning alongside a mentor
A mentor can invite a team member to shadow coding work, explain decisions, and allow independent exploration. When the learner struggles, patient questions and guidance build confidence more effectively than criticism or impatience. section 9.2.1
